New Art Acquisition

I was looking at other artist’s web sites the other day for inspiration as I endeavor to make changes to mine.  I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the various artists on the Daily Painters website.  The site description reads “the first and largest juried gallery of daily painting artists.”  It goes on to describe “Daily Painters” as “artist who consistently produce a new painting almost every day.”

One that caught my eye is London based artist Olha Pryymak.  I really like her style of painting and interpreting the world around her.  We enjoy much of the same subject matter in our paintings, and she has created a series of 15×15cm paintings – roughly 6″ x 6″ – original art depicting life as she sees it.

The painting that caught my eye and I couldn’t quit thinking about is this one:

shoe painting

Olha wrote that she was loving her new “sensible heels” she bought for the summer.  I’ve been experimenting with new shoes for touring ease and completely  empathized with her desire to have sensible and pretty.  So I bought the painting.

Olha and I have been exchanging emails and are now looking forward to meeting in January when I’m in London on another adventure.
